Tjulpa pirni Ngaanatjarra Lands pangka nyinapai / All the birds living in the Ngaanatjarra Lands. Ngunytju tjulpu iti tjulpa / mother bird and baby birds.
For this work I combined my skills in tjanpi grass weaving and hot poker punu/ woodwork. The mother tjulpu bird went out hunting, looking for worms to feed her two little ones. She flew back to the nest with a juicy worm to feed the iti tjulpu (baby birds).
Tjanpi (native desert grasses), raffia, wool, punu (wood), wire.
